Keuhkosairauksiin erikoistunut lääkäri Monica Saxén (os. Sucksdorff) osti tämän urheilullisen ja modernin Coupen vuonna 1936 Amerikassa oleskelleelta opiskelutoveriltaan. Seuraavina vuosina auto oli tuttu näky Kruunupyyn seudulla, jossa rouva Saxén kiersi seudun kouluissa "läpivalaisemassa" oppilaita. Laitteisto kulki mukavasti auton "anopinistuimella" ja kontin päällä tavaratelineessä. Tämä Sport Coupe oli rouva Saxénin ensimmäinen ja viimeinen auto. Auto seisoi poissa rekisteristä sotavuosina ja säästyi näin armeijan takavarikolta. Ainoastaan pyörät autosta lainattiin armeijalle, ne saatiin takaisin sodan päätyttyä 1946. Liikenteessä auto on perimätiedon mukaan ollut vielä ainakin 50-luvun lopulla. Muutamien vaiheiden ja omistajien jälkeen auto päätyi vuonna 1972 laatikoihin purettuna asiantuntevalle keräilijälle ja entisöinnin pioneerille, joka ryhtyi toimeen Chevroletin palauttamiseksi alkuperäiseen loistoonsa. Monica Saxén (née Sucksdorff), a doctor specializing in lung diseases, bought this sporty and modern Coupe in 1936 from a colleague who had stayed in the US. In the following years, the car was a familiar sight in the Kruunupyy region, where Mrs. Saxén toured the schools in the region to examine the students. The X-ray equipment was comfortably transported in the car's "rumble seat" and on a container on the luggage rack. This Sport Coupe was Mrs. Saxén's first and last car. The car was unregistered during the WW II and thus was spared from being confiscated by the army. Only the wheels from the car were loaned to the army, and they were returned after the war in 1946. According to our knowledge, the car was still in traffic at least until the late 1950s. In the early 70's the car was bought in crates by a true pioneer in the field of Finnish museum vehicles. The restoration took roughly 1000 hours over two decades and was finally finished in July of 1998. This classic Chevrolet is now available at our showroom in Tuusula, Finland.
